AI travel agency Fora hits $1B valuation with $60M Series D

How it works. Founded in 2021, Fora runs a two-sided platform: it gives people the infrastructure to become travel advisers — client communication, booking, and trip-planning tools — while letting travellers find and work with those advisers for occasions like honeymoons and family trips. Since launch, agents on the platform have booked over $3 billion in travel, with most of them new to the profession.

Where the money goes. Part of the fresh capital will expand Fora's AI assistant, Via, which handles the tedious side of an adviser's work — research and itinerary building — so human agents can spend more time on client relationships. Fora frames the tool as augmenting advisers rather than replacing them, and plans to push into new categories such as cruises and flights.

The signal. Fora's unicorn milestone is a bet that travel booking still has room for platforms pairing AI efficiency with human expertise — turning travel advising into an accessible, tech-enabled career rather than automating it away.
