KuhlTherm raises $1.1M seed to cool AI data centres

Founded in 2025, the company builds cooling systems for AI data centres, hyperscale infrastructure, and other high-density computing environments.
What's the endgame? Its portfolio spans direct-to-chip cooling, rear door heat exchangers, immersion cooling systems, coolant distribution units, and NexusFlow OS, a proprietary cooling intelligence platform. KuhlTherm manufactures key components in-house while developing its own liquid cooling architecture.
Why now? The startup says AI and GPU-based computing are generating heat loads that traditional air-cooling systems struggle to handle. "AI infrastructure is pushing data centres beyond the limits of conventional air cooling," said founder and chief executive officer Shailesh Bishnoi.
The company will use the capital to accelerate product development, strengthen research and testing infrastructure, expand its engineering and business development teams, secure certifications, and build partnerships as it scales globally.
What could go wrong? KuhlTherm designs its systems for Indian operating conditions, including local climate and power infrastructure, to enable faster deployment and lower operating costs. But it is also targeting international AI infrastructure markets, where competition is fiercer.
The signal: AI infrastructure growth is straining energy and water resources, driving demand for more efficient cooling. "KuhlTherm is addressing this critical infrastructure gap with cutting-edge IP, India-led engineering and a product roadmap for high-density data centre environments," said Rahul Chandra, managing director at Arkam Ventures.
