Who is Tailored? Led by managing partner and senior financial planner David Kelsey, the firm generates a combined $6 million in revenue across its two locations. Count described it as "a leading firm recognised for its high-quality advice offering, disciplined operating model and a strong compliance and governance track record".
What's the endgame? Count expects to increase its stake through ongoing network consolidation, positioning the firm as a growth platform. The deal enhances wealth revenue within Count's equity partnership segment.
Why now? Chief executive Hugh Humphrey has said equity partnerships are one of three M&A pathways Count is pursuing, alongside tuck-in acquisitions and transformative investments. "An area of strategic interest is around employed financial planners in and around our equity partnership model so expect to see future activity in that space," he said at the firm's half-year results in February 2026.
