The update: The figure revises Avio's earlier disclosed investment of ₹40,000,000, confirming a larger commitment than previously reported. Avio said it made the acquisition to derive operational and financial synergies, and that the deal does not fall within related-party transactions, with its promoter group holding no interest in Huwel.
What's the endgame? Huwel, incorporated in February 2015 and based in Patancheru, Telangana, develops, manufactures and supplies molecular diagnostic kits, medical devices and in-vitro diagnostic solutions, serving hospitals, laboratories and research institutions for disease detection and healthcare testing.
The numbers: Huwel's turnover has moved unevenly, from ₹12.11 crore in 2022-23 to ₹4.94 crore in 2023-24, before rising to ₹15.74 crore in 2024-25.
