What does it do? Founded in 2013, 410 Medical makes LifeFlow, a device that helps clinicians deliver fluid and blood quickly to patients with sepsis, hemorrhagic shock, and other life-threatening conditions. LifeFlow received FDA clearance in 2016.
The traction: LifeFlow is used by more than 500 hospitals and EMS agencies across the US, and nearly 80,000 patients have been treated with it.
What's the money for? The funding will scale commercial operations and fund the launch of a next-generation LifeFlow infuser, planned for 2027. The new device targets speed, portability, and ease of use.
Why it matters, per investors: "LifeFlow addresses a critical gap in resuscitative care, and we've seen firsthand the impact it can have for clinicians and patients," said Bobby Helmedag, managing director of Orlando Health Ventures.
The signal: The round's investor base — dominated by hospitals and health systems rather than traditional venture firms — points to a strategy where 410 Medical's biggest funders are also potential customers, aligning capital with adoption ahead of the 2027 device launch.
