Madrivo buys MoneyGeek to build a consumer finance platform

What's the deal? MadrivoDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a performance marketing platform owned by Benevolent Generation (BenGen), has acquired MoneyGeek, a digital insurance comparison and personal finance company. Terms were not disclosed. Co-founders Dan Schuessler and Doug Jones will stay on as co-CEOs.

What each side brings: MoneyGeek publishes editorial content across auto, home, life, and health insurance, plus broader personal finance topics, helping users compare costs and coverage. Madrivo says it delivers more than 10 billion monthly impressions across email, search, social, display, and partner channels, reaching over 100 million consumers.

What's the endgame? The combined company plans to expand MoneyGeek's reach through Madrivo's distribution and its network of financial, insurance, and home services partners. The goal, per the companies, is a simpler way for consumers to research, compare, and buy financial products.

Why now? The two plan to invest in emerging discovery channels, including AI-powered search and generative engine optimisation, aiming to place credible financial guidance where people now search.

"By combining MoneyGeek's editorial expertise with Madrivo's marketing platform and distribution capabilities, we'll accelerate the company's growth," said Ronen Hamatian, chief executive officer of Madrivo.

Jones framed the deal as a growth step after seven years building the brand. "By joining forces with Madrivo, we'll be able to reach more people and continue investing in the high-quality content our audience depends on," he said.

The signal: The deal reflects a wider push to merge trusted editorial content with performance marketing as consumers increasingly discover financial products through search and AI tools. BenGen, a founder-led platform, describes itself as buying and scaling marketing and technology businesses — a model that ties content and distribution ever closer together.
