Paivotal lifts AI cloud funding to €200M, 14 months after a €30M start

What's the deal? Paivotal, the Core Tech Capital company formerly known as Cartagon.aiDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, has expanded its funding to €200 million to accelerate the rollout of its AI cloud platform across Europe. The Spanish company also became an NVIDIA Preferred Partner, one of the first in the eurozone to reach that tier.

Why now? The raise comes just 14 months after Paivotal launched in March 2025 with more than €30 million in initial funding. Since then, demand for high-performance computing has surged, driven by generative AI, larger language models, and rising training and inference needs.

What's the endgame? Paivotal offers GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS), giving organisations access to high-performance computing without heavy infrastructure spending. The new capital will fund NVIDIA's latest air-cooled B300 GPUs and an initial deployment of four Scale Units, with the first nodes based in Spain.

From there, it plans to expand into other strategic eurozone markets. Its pitch centres on data sovereignty and compliance with European rules, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the EU AI Act.

What could go wrong? Paivotal competes with far larger traditional cloud providers, and its model depends on continued access to NVIDIA's newest hardware. Its differentiation rests on data centres powered entirely by renewable energy and its European regulatory footprint.

The signal: Europe's push for technological sovereignty is fuelling demand for AI infrastructure under local jurisdiction. Specialised NeoCloud platforms are emerging as an alternative to incumbent cloud giants — and a near-sevenfold funding jump in just over a year shows how fast capital is chasing that gap.
