Solving.AI raises C$1.1M to fix corporate software adoption

What's the deal? Montréal-based Solving.AIDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has raised a C$1.1-million pre-seed round led by AQC CapitalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, with participation from Québec angel investors, for its AI training platform. Its tool, ShowMe, bolts onto complex software from companies like Salesforce and HubSpot, letting users type or ask questions by voice as they navigate their screen.

Why now? Companies buy packages of complex workflows for tens of thousands of employees, but training them effectively has become a pain point that often leads to low adoption. Solving.AI is targeting expensive tools such as business intelligence and customer relationship management software.

From the source: "[Companies] are spending millions of dollars [on software] for users to take six to 12 months to start using it, and the drag of adoption is creating a huge loss in revenue," chief operating officer Alexis Boucher said in an interview. "With ShowMe, they're able to start using it right away, and the learning curve is much faster."

What's the endgame? Solving.AI is betting that companies will pay to add its tool to internal systems to improve uptake. Better adoption, in turn, makes end customers more likely to renew their licenses.

Who's behind it? Founder Benjamin Philion and chief technology officer Daniel Acevedo previously worked at job search platform Talent.com, while Boucher spent years at retail tech firm Lightspeed Commerce and revenue operations startup Vasco. The startup plans to spend the funding on go-to-market efforts and aims to raise another round in 12 to 15 months.

The signal: As enterprise software grows more complex, the gap between what companies buy and what employees actually use is becoming its own market — one Solving.AI hopes AI can close.
