Who is PRB? Founded in 1990, the practice runs an 18-strong team offering tax, payroll, company secretarial, and business advisory services. Its Haywards Heath office will stay open under its existing leadership.

The rationale: Xeinadin says the practice will "strengthen its ability to support clients through access to additional audit, compliance and specialist expertise". PRB partner Chris Whitley-Jones said the priority was "finding a long-term home that was right for clients and our team", adding that joining Xeinadin lets the firm keep operating as before while gaining "access to additional expertise and support behind the scenes".

Why now? The deal follows Xeinadin's recent purchases of Bournemouth-based Alan W Simons & Co and Blackpool insolvency practice Campbell Crossley & DavisDealroom has a profile for this one.
