AD Auto Total acquires Buzău dealer Rol Car in push toward €1B revenue

What each side brings: AD Auto Total, registered in 1994, focuses mainly on distributing car parts and employs more than 2,000 people across four markets. Rol Car, founded in 2005, is a Hyundai and Suzuki dealer that also runs an authorised service business and became a Mercedes-Benz authorised repairer for the Buzău area in 2010.
The numbers: Rol Car closed 2025 with revenue just under 40 million lei and 33 employees, slightly down from 2024. By comparison, AD Auto Total reported roughly 3 billion lei in revenue, up 9.6%.
Why now? The deal extends AD Auto Total's move beyond parts distribution into car sales, complementing its Auto Total Cars division, which sells Volkswagen, Skoda, Seat, Cupra, and Audi vehicles and generated 83.5 million lei in 2024.
What's the endgame? Staicu wants AD Auto Total to become a regional player. The company already operates in Romania, Hungary, Moldova, and Bulgaria, where it acquired a firm in 2025. "Our plan is to reach €1 billion in revenue over the next three years across our operations in the four countries," he told Ziarul Financiar.
The signal: The Rol Car acquisition shows how Romania's largest independent auto business is using bolt-on deals to consolidate parts distribution, retail, and servicing under one roof as it scales toward regional reach.
