What's the endgame? Cognify operates as both a platform and a medical practice, giving young athletes a direct line to care. Users can book a virtual doctor visit within 24 hours, and founder Christian Juzang wants Cognify to become an integrated healthcare layer for youth sports programs.
Why now? Juzang, a Harvard graduate with venture experience, founded the company after his sister struggled to get quick concussion care following a volleyball head injury. He argues timely treatment is crucial for long-term recovery and for avoiding mental health side effects.
The funding will expand a team of around 10, including an outside product engineering group, and improve the startup's products.
Why own the doctors? "The biggest thing for us is we didn't want to be a scheduling integration," Juzang said. "We wanted to own the process. And so we actually brought the doctors on. We operate as a medical practice today."
The signal: Game Changers Ventures is the newest vehicle for Roger Ehrenberg, managing partner of Eberg Capital. Since early 2026 it has backed Track Titan, Equipe, Arkero, and Swsh as part of an early-stage push into the sports tech, media, and gaming verticals — a bet Cognify now extends into athlete health.
