Fundraise

West Lake Robotics raises 200M CNY Series A in quick re-raise

What's the deal? West Lake Robotics Technology has raised 200,000,000 CNY (roughly $29.5 million) in a Series A round announced in July 2026. Henan Huirong Fund backed the round.

What does the company do? West Lake Robotics builds civilian intelligent robots. It is the first industrial spinout from Westlake University's artificial intelligence and robotics work.

What's the endgame? The company focuses on embodied intelligence algorithms, pursuing a path that fuses reinforcement learning with large models. Its work spans core robotics components, robot large-model algorithms, motion control, and intelligent perception.

Why now? The raise lands as a quick re-raise, signalling fast investor follow-through after earlier funding.

The signal: The round adds to a growing wave of Chinese capital flowing into embodied intelligence and humanoid robotics, where university spinouts are increasingly attracting regional funds.
