Hudl acquires TeamUp (Fund2Save) in its 19th acquisition

What's the deal? Hudl, the Lincoln-based sportstech company, has acquired TeamUpDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → (Fund2Save LLC), a Fargo, North Dakota startup that helps sports teams run fundraising campaigns. Terms were not disclosed. TeamUp has been rebranded to "Hudl Fundraising From Team Up."

What's the endgame? Hudl, known for its cameras and athlete stat-tracking products, is adding fundraising tools to the tech suite it sells to coaches. The platform lets teams run self-led campaigns or opt for a one-hour event that Hudl manages, in which athletes compete for points on a live leaderboard while soliciting donations from their networks.

Why now? The deal is Hudl's 19th acquisition since its 2006 founding, and follows the company's 20th anniversary marked at Hudl Week 2026 in June. "Traditional athletic fundraising is a massive burden on athletes, parents and booster clubs," chief executive officer David Graff said.

Graff added that the acquisition aims to free up coaches and athletes: "By bringing TeamUp's modern, proven fundraising approach into the Hudl ecosystem, we're giving valuable time back to everyone involved and letting organizations focus on the game."

What each company brings: TeamUp founder and chief executive officer Mark Teckenburg started digital coupon-book venture PushSave in 2014, then built the TeamUp platform in 2024 with a gamified setup to make fundraising more engaging for young athletes. His team of six full-time employees and independent sales reps has hosted events in 43 states.

What changes? Teckenburg and TeamUp's employees have joined Hudl, and both companies plan to keep an office in North Dakota. "By joining Hudl, we're combining best-in-class fundraising with the tools coaches already rely on every day," Teckenburg said.

The signal: The deal shows Hudl continuing to expand from video and analytics into the wider set of administrative tasks coaches handle, deepening its role as an all-in-one platform for sports programs.
