Fundraise

Chip designer Arctic Core lands ¥100M A+ round for depth-sensing push

What's the deal? Shenzhen Arctic Core Microelectronics has raised 100,000,000 CNY (about $14.7 million) in a Series A extension. Zhongqing Henghui Fund led the round, with Langxingtu Investment and returning backers Guanggu Sci-Tech Innovation Investment and Ruijiang Investment joining.

What's the endgame? Arctic Core designs chips for depth sensing and low-light imaging, built around two product lines: dToF depth sensing and PCI low-light imaging. It targets consumer electronics, automotive, security monitoring, smart industry, and smart home applications.

Why now? The A+ round follows quickly on the company's earlier Series A, with two prior investors doubling down. A fast re-raise signals continued investor conviction as the startup scales its two-track chip roadmap.

The signal: Depth sensing and imaging chips sit at the heart of demand across cars, security, and connected devices — sectors drawing steady capital in China's semiconductor build-out. Backing from repeat investors points to momentum behind homegrown sensor silicon.
