Safehouse acquires IAM specialist QAP360 to fill identity gap

Try Dealroom → Cyber Security has acquired QAP360, a Dutch specialist in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and compliance led by chief executive officer John Kools. The move adds dedicated identity expertise to Safehouse's existing cybersecurity portfolio.

What each side brings: Safehouse offers a broad range of services, from compliance work and 24/7 SOC monitoring to red teaming. QAP360 focuses squarely on identity security, covering SSO, MFA, PAM, and Identity Governance and Administration.

What changes? The combined group now covers seven security domains, with QAP360 filling the fourth: Identity and Access Management. In return, QAP360's existing clients gain access to the other six domains, from data-centric security to backup and recovery. The teams will work together on client projects, go to market under one banner, and share knowledge on the floor.

Kools framed the tie-up as complementary: "Wij brengen diepgaande IAM-kennis mee; Safehouse de breedte en de slagkracht op cybersecurity."

The signal: The deal reflects wider consolidation in cybersecurity, as providers bundle specialist skills to answer increasingly complex threats. With credentials driving most breaches, controlling who can access what is becoming the core question of digital resilience.
