Sweden's OneTwo Analytics raises SEK 12M seed for diabetes data push abroad

What's the deal? Sweden's OneTwo AnalyticsDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has raised SEK 12 million (about $1.2 million) in a seed round to fund international expansion. Karolinska Institutet Innovation, an early backer, and the Silverstein Dream FoundationDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → led the round, alongside existing investors and Swedish family offices.

What does it do? OneTwo Analytics builds data-driven tools for diabetes care, aiming to improve patient outcomes and cut costs for healthcare providers. The company grew out of Karolinska Institutet Innovation's incubator.

What's the endgame? The capital will fund marketing and sales in the United States, the Gulf region, and Singapore. "By enabling better patient outcomes and greater operational efficiency, we empower healthcare providers to deliver more sustainable diabetes care," said chief executive officer Lars Cederblad.

Why now? The round marks the company's shift from early-stage venture to a scaling business with international momentum. Karolinska Institutet Innovation said it re-invested to back that next phase.

Investor view: "Some of the most challenging — and exciting — parts of the journey come after they leave the incubator and begin to scale," said Teodora Andonova, business advisor for capital acquisition at Karolinska Institutet Innovation. "As an existing shareholder in OneTwo Analytics, we chose to participate in this round to demonstrate our continued support for the company and its international ambitions."

The signal: At SEK 12 million, this is a modest seed round. But the international targets signal ambition beyond the Nordics, and continued backing from a life science institution points to conviction in research-based diabetes tools finding demand across borders.
