Bee Charged EV raises $7M to grow mobile fleet charging

What's the deal? Bee Charged EV has secured $7 million in funding, including roughly $3.2 million in charging equipment, to expand its nationwide commercial mobile EV fleet charging services across the US.

What does it do? Founded by Antony Okuribido, the company delivers charging directly to electric vehicles at their location. Its services cover scheduled charging for commercial fleets and on-demand assistance for individual EV drivers.

Where the money goes: Bee Charged EV will deploy more mobile charging units, expand operational capacity, and widen service availability. A portion will fund new mobile charging assets equipped with Level 2 and DC Fast Charging capabilities.

What's the endgame? The company operates in Miami, Los Angeles, Boston, and San Francisco. It is also developing battery-swapping technology for commercial trucking through a strategic technology collaboration, though deployment timelines have not been announced.

"Our focus is to strengthen our operational capabilities and expand access to mobile charging services in additional markets," said Okuribido, founder and chief executive officer. "This investment enables us to increase available charging resources and continue supporting customers that require flexible charging solutions."

The signal: Mobile charging targets a persistent gap for fleet operators who lack fixed infrastructure. Bee Charged EV is betting that on-demand delivery — rather than stationary networks — can serve commercial customers moving to electric vehicles.
