Arrow Global buys MGA Fusion, adding £290M in premiums to insurance arm

What's the deal? Arrow GlobalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → Group, a pan-European alternative investment manager, has acquired Fusion Specialty GroupDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a specialist managing general agent (MGA), through its Arrow Global Insurance (AGI) platform. Terms were not disclosed.

What each side does: AGI gives institutional investors access to specialty, non-catastrophe insurance markets by combining Arrow-backed MGAs, rated risk-bearing capacity, and Arrow's investment capabilities. Fusion underwrites on behalf of London market, European, and other specialty insurers, serving policyholders across the UK, Europe, North America, and other international markets.

By the numbers: Since launch, Fusion has processed more than 23,000 submissions and written roughly £290m of gross written premium for about 1,500 policyholders. Its premium volume has more than doubled over the two years to mid-2026.

What's the endgame? The deal adds another specialist MGA with an established underwriting track record to AGI's platform. Fusion gains access to Halldora Re, AGI's A- (Excellent) AM Best-rated reinsurer, plus long-term institutional capital and scalable operating infrastructure.

Why now? Arrow is building out AGI in markets it describes as having high barriers to entry, fragmented competition, and technical complexity. Adding capacity and capital lets its MGAs grow while keeping underwriting discipline.

The signal: The acquisition reflects the continued push by alternative asset managers into specialty insurance, where long-term capital and rated reinsurance capacity are being bundled with MGA underwriting expertise to scale in niche, hard-to-enter markets.
