Mallard Bay acquires hunt-discovery marketplace Find A Hunt

What's the deal? Mallard Bay OutdoorsDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has acquired Find A Hunt, a marketplace for discovering public hunting land, booking guided hunts, and browsing land-lease listings. The deal, announced July 7, 2026, also brings in sister brand Find A Fish. Terms were not disclosed.

Who's who? Mallard Bay runs an AI-powered Outfitter Management System (OMS) for guided hunting and fishing outfitters, handling bookings, payments, calendars, CRM, and lead management. Find A Hunt connects licensed hunters with outfitters, guides, land access, and vendors in one place.

What's the endgame? Mallard Bay plans to integrate its AI systems, including its Susie AI assistant, with new marketplace features and outfitter tools. Find A Hunt and Find A Fish will become consumer-facing destinations for discovering and booking trips, while Mallard Bay focuses on the software behind them.

What changes? Find A Hunt outfitters gain access to Mallard Bay's booking and management platform. "Find A Hunt sportsmen will soon be able to find the experiences they want on a single platform," said Chris MeauxDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, chairman and chief executive officer of Mallard Bay.

Mark Coleman, founder of both platforms, hands them to Mallard Bay's team. "Mallard Bay has the talent, vision, and drive to take this further than I could have alone," he said.

What's next? Mallard Bay will release product details and timelines for Find A Hunt and Find A Fish in mid- to late 2026.

The signal: Meaux framed the move as a bet on an overlooked sector, calling outdoor recreation "a large market that has been underserved by modern technology for a long time." The acquisition consolidates consumer discovery and outfitter operations under one company — a pattern of vertical software rolling up fragmented, offline-heavy industries.
