Vermon buys Moduleus, opens US plant and launches unified Group

The company, founded in 1984 in Tours, makes ultrasound probes and transducers for medical and industrial OEM customers. Deal terms were not disclosed.
What's the endgame? The Moduleus acquisition extends Vermon from a probe and transducer maker into a broader OEM solutions partner. Customers now get a single supplier for projects spanning high-performance transducers to OEM subsystems.
The expansion: Alongside the deal, Group entity TransducerWorks opened a new 30,000 sq. ft. facility in Pennsylvania. The site is four times larger than the previous one, triples production capacity, and adds ISO 7 and ISO 8 cleanrooms plus an integrated machine shop.
Why now? The moves knit together Vermon, Moduleus, TransducerWorks, and Vermon NDT under one coordinated organization. The company says this lets OEMs "accelerate development, reduce complexity, and bring next-generation ultrasound technologies to market faster."
The larger US footprint strengthens Vermon's proximity to North American OEMs, supporting customers from early-stage development through high-volume manufacturing.
By the numbers: Vermon Group now counts more than 600 employees, over 130 R&D experts, and more than 40 years of ultrasound expertise, with manufacturing across Europe and the United States.
The signal: Vermon is consolidating specialist capabilities — acoustics, electronics, engineering, and manufacturing — under one roof, a bet that OEM customers increasingly want a single partner across the ultrasound value chain rather than a network of separate suppliers.
