The deal, structured entirely in equity and tokens, is expected to close within six months, with operational integration starting immediately.
The companies: N1 is a Layer 1 blockchain built for scalability and low-latency performance, citing sub-millisecond latency and high throughput. 01 Exchange, originally incubated within the N1 ecosystem, has processed more than $3 billion in trading volume and drawn over 25,000 users.
Why now? The acquisition lands ahead of the planned launch of N1 2.0, the network's next major version. The upgrade will add deeper liquidity, request-for-quote (RFQ) markets, vaults, equities, and native mobile apps for iOS and Android.
What's the endgame? N1 wants to bring key parts of its ecosystem under one network rather than lean on independent third-party apps to drive activity. The plan is to align product development, distribution, and network economics while reducing fragmentation.
“We believe vertically integrated networks will define the next generation of exchanges, and N1 is being built to lead that shift,” said Dima RomanovDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, chief executive officer and co-founder of N1.
What changes for users? Existing 01 Exchange users will not need to migrate assets. The exchange will keep running under the N1 brand, and points earned before the N1 launch will still be recognised.
