What does Pandion do? Founded in 1925, the Rochester-based company helps organizations simplify purchasing and access supplier programs, primarily across the non-acute healthcare market. It serves over 16,000 members across 60,000 sites nationwide, with member retention above 99%.

The numbers: Pandion has completed four acquisitions in the last five years and grown committed spend at a 31.6% CAGR. The funding will back expanded purchasing scale, broader supplier relationships, and further acquisitions.

Why Sagemount? "Pandion has spent a century building trust with its members, and that discipline is exactly what we look for in a GPO business," said Phil Yates, partner at Sagemount. He pointed to Buyers Edge Platform, which grew revenue and profits by roughly 300% while integrating 21 acquisitions during Sagemount's hold.

What's next? Yates, partner Curt Witte, and vice president Connor Pams will join Pandion's board. Witte brings healthcare and GPO experience from leadership roles at Cardinal Health and NetRX.

Travis Heider, president and CEO of Pandion, said Sagemount "understands the GPO landscape" and shares the company's member-first approach as it focuses on the non-acute market.

The signal: A century-old procurement network drawing a repeat sector investor underscores appetite for scaled, member-focused GPO platforms — where roll-up strategies and supplier leverage are proving durable.
