RubyPlay to buy Splash Tech, moving beyond content into engagement tools
What's the deal? RubyPlayDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has agreed to acquire 100% of Splash Tech, adding the supplier's jackpot and Free-to-Play casino and sports products to its engagement suite. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals. Terms were not disclosed.
What's the endgame? RubyPlay wants to shift from a pure content supplier into a "premium content and engagement platform provider," in the words of chief executive officer Tsachi Maimon. Splash Tech's tools would join RubyPlay's existing free spins, rewards, missions, and tournaments.
What changes for customers? After completion, RubyPlay's operator partners gain access to the Jackpot and Free-to-Play tools, which are designed to drive engagement across third-party content as well as RubyPlay titles. The company says Splash Tech's real-money jackpot product can turn "any product across all verticals into a jackpot game."
Why now? Splash Tech's engagement tools are already live with what RubyPlay calls "some of the biggest operators and platform providers" globally, giving the buyer immediate reach and credibility.
What could go wrong? The deal hinges on regulatory approvals. Splash Tech chief executive officer Adam Wilson stressed "continuity," saying existing partners "will continue to benefit from the same trusted products, expertise, and relationship focus" — a reassurance that signals integration risk is on the table.
The signal: The acquisition reflects a broader push among B2B iGaming suppliers to move past standalone content and own the player acquisition and retention layer. By folding jackpots and free-to-play mechanics into one offering, RubyPlay is betting that operators increasingly want engagement and content from a single provider.
