But Beautiful raises $526K from Crit Ventures for AI social app Truloop
What's the deal? But Beautiful, the operator of AI-native social app Truloop, has raised roughly 800 million KRW (about $526,000) from Crit VenturesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, it announced in July 2026.
Who's behind it? The company was founded in 2025 in Los Angeles by Park Soo-man, creator of Korea's first microblog service, me2dayDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, and former operations head of Naver's Band, which reached 19,200,000 monthly users. Its team includes chief business officer Kim Hyung-il, formerly US head of Naver WebtoonDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, alongside developers from major IT firms.
What does it do? Truloop manages the full lifecycle of a gathering — creation, scheduling, meeting, recording, and reminiscing — inside a single app, replacing the need to switch between messengers, calendars, and social networks. An in-app AI assistant analyses participants' availability to propose optimal times and handles preparations such as restaurant bookings.
After events, the AI sorts photos, builds shared albums, and generates personal stories and highlight videos, letting users record and share experiences without manual editing.
How it's built: Rather than relying on a single AI model, But Beautiful selects the best engine for each function, a flexible structure it says helps it adapt to a fast-changing AI landscape.
Why the backing? Crit Ventures cited the platform's unification of a fragmented gathering experience, its AI-native architecture, and its potential for global expansion. "The social platform market is being reshaped around AI-native services that use AI as a core interface rather than a mere add-on," said Park Song-gun, an associate at the firm.
What's the endgame? But Beautiful plans to enter the US, Japan, and other markets alongside Korea, and to introduce in-app digital goods to reward users and drive continued engagement. "Truloop will dramatically reduce the unnecessary burden of preparing and recording gatherings," said Park Soo-man, "and help people focus on relationships and experiences themselves."
The signal: The round reflects a broader shift in social platforms toward products that treat AI as the core interface rather than an add-on, with Truloop betting that automating the logistics of offline meetups can carve out space in a crowded market.
