Talon acquires PJX Media to build biggest independent US OOH specialist

What's the deal? TalonDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, an independent Out of Home (OOH) advertising agency, has acquired US OOH specialist PJX Media. Financial terms were undisclosed.

What's the endgame? The combined business becomes the largest independent OOH specialist in the US. PJX will keep its own name and operations, while gaining access to Talon's programmatic, technology, data, and effectiveness capabilities.

Why now? Talon framed the deal as part of its continued investment in the US market. It cited growing demand as clients seek smarter, more accountable, and more connected OOH solutions.

What they said: "This is an important step for Talon and a strong signal of our continued commitment to the US market," said Sue Frogley, Talon's global chief executive officer. Rick Robinson, PJX Media's chief executive officer, called the acquisition "an exciting new chapter," adding that it is "very much business as usual for our clients."

The signal: The deal reflects consolidation in the US OOH sector, where independents are teaming up to match the scale and technology of larger rivals. By combining reach with programmatic and data tools, Talon is betting that accountability and connected media will define the next phase of out-of-home advertising.
