CK Power buys Rocky Mountain Construction Equipment to double US aftermarket services

Try Dealroom → (RMCE), a Colorado-based equipment and service provider. RMCE will be folded into CK Power's existing Rocky Mountain Powertrain (RMPT) unit, with all RMCE employees joining RMPT.
What's the endgame? The integration immediately doubles RMPT's aftermarket services in the US and expands its ability to support customers across the western US. RMPT brings decades of experience in industrial engines and powertrain repair; RMCE adds expertise in aerial equipment, concrete pumps, and other specialty machines.
What changes? The deal expands RMPT's manufacturer relationships and service authorizations. RMPT will continue as an authorized PutzmeisterDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → dealer in Colorado, offering sales and service, and will operate as a Multiquip dealer for grout and concrete solutions.
Why now? Clayton Costello, co-chief executive officer of CK Power Family of Companies, framed the move as a response to shifting customer demands. "Customers are looking for service partners that can solve more problems, support more equipment, and respond faster when uptime matters," he said.
Combining the two businesses creates "a deeper bench of technical expertise and a broader service network that allows us to support customers in ways neither organization could accomplish independently," Costello added.
What's in it for RMCE? Kyle McElroy, president and owner of RMCE, said protecting employees and maintaining service levels drove the decision. Joining CK Power gives the team "greater opportunities, additional resources, and long-term stability," he said.
The signal: The acquisition reflects consolidation in the construction equipment space, where providers are broadening their product lines and service reach to become one-stop partners. By merging complementary expertise and manufacturer ties, CK Power is betting that scale and breadth win customers focused on equipment uptime.
