The company's Mozambican arm, based in Nampula, sells ultra-clean gasification stoves paired with a locally produced biomass fuel made from cashew shells, under a pay-as-you-go model aimed at low-income households.

Why it matters Clean cooking remains a focus for climate-linked investment, tying household energy access to emissions reductions. Backed by this funding, Pamoja targets sales of up to 40,000 clean cooking services by the end of 2029, reaching up to 180,800 people with cleaner cooking and improved health outcomes across suburban and rural areas of the country.
