DUSQ raises $3M seed as sleeptech device tops $1M on Kickstarter

Try Dealroom →, an India-founded sleeptech company, has raised a roughly $3 million seed round led by Fireside VenturesDealroom has a profile for this one. The raise coincides with its US Kickstarter campaign, which topped $1 million within days of launching on June 9, 2026 — making DUSQ the fastest Indian healthtech startup to hit that mark on the platform.
What's the endgame? DUSQ builds a behind-the-ear device it calls the world's first closed-loop sleep regulation system, developed and clinically trialed in an in-house sleep lab in India. Weighing 12 grams, it reads the autonomic nervous system in real time and delivers adaptive vagus and vestibular nerve stimulation to steer the body back into deeper sleep as disruptions occur.
Why now? The device is now shipping to American backers ahead of a broader US retail launch planned for September 2026. The debut follows more than 2,000 commercial users in India and a Kickstarter waitlist above 10,000.
DUSQ's proprietary sleep lab has collected more than 50 million physiological data points. It holds CDSCO certification in India and uses an FDA-cleared stimulation modality for insomnia. Its double-blind trials showed 31% more deep sleep, a 38% improvement in heart rate variability, and 22% fewer night awakenings.
By the numbers: DUSQ's $1 million-plus opening surpasses earlier Indian healthtech campaigns, including Ultrahuman's original Ring, which raised about $500,000 in total. The company secured a three-Shark deal on Shark Tank India less than two years ago.
What's next? With the US launch a month away, DUSQ is expanding its India-based team, with more than 50 open roles across hardware engineering, embedded systems, signal processing, biotech, and growth.
What could go wrong? DUSQ is entering one of the world's most saturated consumer health markets. As chief executive officer Dr. Siddhant Bhargava put it: "Sleep is too personal to be sold through hype."
The signal: DUSQ's raise and Kickstarter traction test whether a science-first, India-built medtech product can compete head-on in the US. "We did not enter a category. We built one. From India," said Bhargava.
