What's the deal? RubixDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, Europe's leading distributor of industrial maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) products, has acquired Kugellager Leitner GmbH, a specialist in bearings and drive technology. The deal was announced on July 6, 2026. Terms were not disclosed.
Who's involved? Rubix is a pan-European industrial supplies distributor with roughly 8,500 employees and €3.15 billion in revenue in 2023. Leitner distributes bearings and drive technology to industrial and mechanical engineering customers.
Why now? The purchase extends a run of bolt-on acquisitions Rubix has made across Germany and neighbouring countries. In late 2025 it acquired Baden-Württemberg bearings specialist Konrad Haluk IndustriebedarfDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → GmbH to strengthen its machine-building business in the DACH region, and earlier agreed to take over the Schäfer Technik group in Neu-Ulm to expand across southern Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
What's the endgame? Rubix is building regional density and deepening its position with industrial and mechanical engineering customers. Adding Leitner reinforces its bearings and drive-technology offering rather than opening a new market.
The signal: The deal is another small but targeted move in an ongoing roll-up of the German industrial distribution and bearings market. It is notable mainly as further evidence of consolidation in the DACH region.
