Sentry Aerospares buys Canada's AirStart to deepen regional aircraft parts reach

The Watford- and Toronto-based announcement did not disclose terms.
What each does: Both companies hold high-value, hard-to-find rotable parts on the shelf, ready to ship for aircraft on ground (AOG) situations. AirStart, founded by Robert Wills and led with Anne Vinet, focuses on regional aircraft platforms and serves airlines, maintenance providers, and parts distributors in Canada and abroad.
The rationale: The deal expands Sentry's inventory, customer relationships, and capabilities in the regional aircraft segment. Chief executive officer Boris Wolstenholme called it "a highly complementary strategic fit for both organizations."
What changes for customers? AirStart's new facility next to Toronto Pearson Airport joins Sentry's hubs in London, the New York metro area, and Dallas, extending 24/7 AOG service. Sentry expects synergies through cross-selling and wider inventory availability.
The expansion angle: The Toronto site deepens Sentry's Canadian presence and adds to a footprint that already reached Dallas and Singapore. It advances Sentry's stated aim of building a global independent stockist rather than a niche supplier.
