Banzai closes $13.2M ConnectAndSell buy, doubling its revenue
What's the deal? Banzai International (Nasdaq: BNZI), an AI marketing technology company, has completed its acquisition of substantially all assets of ConnectAndSell, an AI sales acceleration platform, effective July 2, 2026. The $13.2 million deal — priced at under 1x 2025 revenue — combines cash, a seller note, and equity.
What each side brings: ConnectAndSell serves about 250 B2B customers, including Intuit, RingCentral, and SAP, across financial services, healthcare, and technology. Its platform facilitates 4.8 million live customer conversations annually and, by its own estimate, generates $17.8 billion in annual sales pipeline value for clients.
The numbers: ConnectAndSell posted FY 2025 revenue of $14.7 million at an 86% gross margin, with average revenue per customer of roughly $59,000. That roughly doubles Banzai's top line and reinforces a high-margin profile, building on a Q1 2026 revenue base of $2.7 million.
How it's structured: Terms include $5.5 million cash at closing, a $1.8 million one-year seller's note, and a $5.9 million equity component issued at $2.98 per share. The equity portion may dilute existing shareholders.
What's the endgame? The deal pushes Banzai deeper into sales acceleration and revenue-generation workflows. "ConnectAndSell solves the hardest problem in B2B sales: getting decision-makers into live conversations," said Joe DavyDealroom has a profile for this one. What's next? Most of ConnectAndSell's 38 employees will join Banzai. The company expects cost synergies by the end of FY 2026 and a meaningful contribution to profitability and cash flow in FY 2027.
The signal: For a small-cap SaaS vendor with a $6.4 million market cap, buying a profitable, high-margin business at under 1x revenue is a step-change in scale. It reflects wider pressure on software firms to prove both profitability and AI differentiation without sacrificing margin quality.
