Solaris buys power-services firm GESA for $55M cash plus shares

What's the endgame? The deal lets Solaris deliver "full cycle" power solutions in-house — from front-end plant installation and commissioning through long-term operations and life-of-asset repair. GESA adds expertise across generator and turbine classes, including aeroderivative, industrial, heavy-duty, hydroelectric, and steam.
Why now? Solaris serves data center, energy, and industrial clients as power demand climbs. The acquisition opens new end markets, spanning grid-connected, co-located across-the-meter, and behind-the-meter installations both in the US and internationally.
The financials: Solaris expects the deal to be accretive to earnings and free cash flow per share. It is a bolt-on transaction rather than a large-capital move.
