TOCAL raises ₹9 crore to build EV-powered logistics network across India

What does TOCAL do? Founded by Dhairyasheel Deshmukh, the company runs EV-based last-mile delivery for e-commerce, quick commerce, and direct-to-consumer brands. It also offers fulfilment centres, fleet management software, and rider services through a single technology platform.
What's the money for? TOCAL plans to expand beyond Bengaluru into major metropolitan markets, open more fulfilment centres, scale its fleet, and grow enterprise sales. Over four to five years, it aims to reach more than 15 cities, deploy over 20,000 electric vehicles, run 75 fulfilment centres, and work with more than 1,000 brands.
Why the partnership matters: The round also begins a strategic tie-up with K-Indev Logistics to build an integrated platform. K-Indev brings micro-warehousing, nationwide logistics, and enterprise relationships; TOCAL contributes its EV fleet, hyperlocal network, and technology.
In their words: "India's commerce ecosystem requires more than electric transportation; it requires modern, technology-driven logistics infrastructure," said Deshmukh, TOCAL's founder and chief executive officer.
The signal: The raise is modest but fits a broader wave of capital flowing into EV-based last-mile logistics across Asia. Indonesia's Blitz Electric Mobility has also closed a $1.6 million seed extension to expand its EV delivery network — a sign of steady investor appetite for localised, asset-light fleets, even as such rounds stay small next to larger global mobility deals.
