Bité Group raises €550M in notes to refinance existing debt

What's the deal? Bité Group, an integrated telecommunications and media provider in the Baltics, has issued €550 million of senior secured floating-rate notes due 2031. The proceeds refinance the group's existing notes. Bité is indirectly controlled by funds managed by Providence Equity PartnersDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →.

What does it do? Bité offers mobile communications, fixed broadband, Pay TV, media, and content services across Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia.

Why now? The issue extends the maturity of Bité's liabilities to 2031, reworking its capital structure rather than raising fresh growth capital. It follows a €920 million senior secured notes package in 2024 that also refinanced existing debt.

By the numbers: At €550 million, the deal ranks among the largest debt rounds for its sector and region, sitting in the 96th percentile of comparable Baltic telecom debt issues on record.

The signal: Bité has become a repeat bond issuer, tapping the market again in 2025 after its 2024 package. The refinancing reflects continued investor appetite for secured telecom credit from established regional operators — a liability-management move rather than a sign of distress or expansion.
