Jurui Cloud Control raises 120M yuan Series A at 2B yuan valuation
What's the deal? Jurui Cloud Control Technology has raised 120,000,000 yuan (about $17.7 million) in a Series A round, valuing the Chinese location-tech firm at nearly 2,000,000,000 yuan. The round was led by Yancheng Yashang Automotive Industry Investment Development Partnership, a state-owned platform in Jiangsu's Yancheng city.
Who else is in? Mianyang Guoke Sanhe Venture Capital Fund Partnership, a state-owned platform from Sichuan's Mianyang city, joined as a follow-on investor. Yashang Capital and Sanhe Capital also participated.
What does it do? Jurui builds location-centric internet-of-things systems anchored on China's BeiDou satellite positioning technology, combined with AI and big data. It groups its work into three lines: smart technology, automotive ecosystem, and mobility services.
What's the money for? Jurui plans to spend the proceeds on technology research and development, product innovation, and market expansion. It says it already works with several automakers and platforms, covers multiple Chinese provinces, and has begun expanding overseas.
Why now? BeiDou high-precision positioning is being embedded across commercial-vehicle management, fleet risk control, and smart mobility, with governments and carmakers raising spending on connected-vehicle and fleet compliance systems. That gives suppliers combining BeiDou, IoT, and automotive after-market services more room to scale.
The signal: The pairing of two regional state-owned funds with market investors reads less as a financial bet than as an endorsement of Jurui's automaker relationships and commercial path in the BeiDou-plus-new-energy-vehicle niche — a sector Chinese institutions increasingly treat as a national priority as domestic carmakers push abroad.
