Yunsi Semiconductor raises tens of millions in Series A for graphite materials

What's the deal? Yunsi Semiconductor TechnologyDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has raised tens of millions of yuan in a Series A round led by Painuo CapitalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →. The company makes graphite consumables used in third-generation semiconductor manufacturing.

What's the endgame? Yunsi will spend the money on production-line upgrades, research into 12-inch products, and expanding capacity for major customers. Its high-end graphite consumables target the high-temperature, high-corrosion processes central to producing wafers and third-generation power devices.

Why now? China's third-generation semiconductor supply chain — spanning silicon carbide and gallium nitride — has drawn steady capital in mid-2026, with upstream equipment and materials seeing active funding. Domestic suppliers of these consumables remain scarce, aligning Yunsi with policy priorities and procurement demand from leading wafer fabs.

What could go wrong? The round is modest in size, closer to an acceleration round meant to fund a capacity ramp and prove out bulk orders from top customers. For a company founded just three years ago, in 2023, it is a key step rather than a market-shifting event.

The signal: The deal extends industry capital's bet on localising critical semiconductor consumables. Painuo Capital, which has been active in hard tech and advanced manufacturing, reflects continued investor appetite for the third-generation semiconductor materials segment.
