What is GIM building? GIM is developing agentic AI systems intended to go beyond investment-research assistance. Its approach, which it calls a “Visionary Machine”, uses market data, feedback loops and coordinated agents to generate, test and refine investment hypotheses. The company is working on foundation models tailored to capital-market environments and multi-agent systems that generate, validate and evolve investment signals across several reasoning layers.

Why it matters: The company is bringing AI-driven strategies and investment products into live validation across multiple asset classes and markets. Its flagship CogAlpha paper was accepted to the ACL 2026 main conference with an Oral recommendation; the paper describes a seven-layer agent architecture designed to move from raw data to actionable investment signals. GIM’s longer-term aim is to develop products ranging from institutional strategies to vehicles accessible to individual investors, while broadening access to the value created by self-evolving intelligence.

Founder perspective: Jiahao Xu, GIM’s founder and CEO, said the company believes investment AI is moving from information assistance towards autonomous hypothesis generation and testing. He described GIM’s systems as designed to reason across market data, evaluate signals through feedback and improve over time in real-world capital markets.
