HousApp raises €4.3M to automate Dutch estate agencies
What's the deal? Dutch startup HousAppDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has raised €4.3 million in a seed round to help estate agents automate their offices.
The round was led by venture capital firms Arches CapitalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → and AntlerDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →.
Today, the platform mostly helps agents schedule property viewings. But more features are on the way, according to head of marketing Tom Smedes.
Why now? Estate agencies still rely on manual, time-consuming processes. HousApp is betting that automation can free agents from routine admin work.
The fresh capital lets it expand its product and reach more agents across the Netherlands.
What could go wrong? Automating scheduling is a narrow starting point. To justify the funding, HousApp will need to broaden its offering quickly and win over an industry known for slow tech adoption.
The signal: With backing from Antler, an early-stage specialist known for betting on founders long before product-market fit, HousApp's seed round reflects investor appetite for tools that digitise slow-moving, admin-heavy industries. Still an early-stage company positioned as a "smart viewing scheduler," it will need to expand well beyond scheduling to grow into the funding.
