Shoalhaven Mayor Patricia White welcomed the boost, calling aquaculture "a cornerstone of the local economy."
Other recipients include Joonga Land and Water Aboriginal Corporation, awarded $1.48 million to process sea urchins in Narooma. Goodnight Oysters and Southern Oyster Culture picked up smaller grants for equipment upgrades.
