Yin Gong builds low-cost, long-cycle sodium-ion batteries. It sells standard and custom products for uses spanning consumer electronics, e-bikes, power tools, and data centre energy storage.

Why now? Sodium-ion batteries are gaining traction as a cheaper alternative to lithium, which faces supply constraints and price swings.

The company also offers full production-line solutions, positioning it to scale as demand for affordable storage grows.

What could go wrong? Sodium-ion technology still trails lithium on energy density, limiting some applications.

Competition is fierce, with major players racing to commercialise the same chemistry.

The signal: The Pre-A+ round pulls in a telling mix of backers — investment funds like Qifu CapitalDealroom has a profile for this one.
