DXC Technology backs Swiss driverless startup LOXO at $36.6M valuation
What's the deal? US technology company DXC Technology has made a strategic investment in LOXO, a Bern-based startup building autonomous freight transport.
The deal values LOXO at $36.6 million. The company plans to use the funds to bring its driverless delivery solution to market and scale it worldwide.
LOXO converts commercial delivery vehicles from various manufacturers for driverless operation. Its digital driver has been tested on European roads since 2023 and in delivery service since 2024.
Why now? LOXO has reached Level 4 autonomy, meaning its vehicles can drive fully autonomously on predefined routes.
Since 2025, Dietikon-based logistics firm PlanzerDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has used LOXO to test parcel delivery in Bern. The startup now wants to pair its platform with DXC's expertise in engineering, systems integration, and marketing.
What could go wrong? Autonomous driving remains hard to scale beyond fixed routes, and LOXO's vehicles still operate only on predefined ones.
Regulation across markets could also slow the global rollout DXC's backing is meant to accelerate.
The signal: An early-stage startup founded in 2021, LOXO is betting that driverless freight is ready to move from pilots to real logistics operations. DXC Technology's corporate stake shows enterprise players increasingly want a foothold in autonomous last-mile delivery — and see European startups as a route in.
