Auxiliis Biomarker raises $963K seed to personalise arthritis treatment
What's the deal? Hungarian healthtech startup Auxiliis BiomarkerDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has raised 300,000,000 HUF (roughly $963,000) in a seed round.
The round was led by Accessio Start Innovation Capital Fund and Greennovatív.
Auxiliis is not building a new drug. It develops a more precise diagnostic and therapy-tracking method for rheumatoid arthritis, a chronic autoimmune disease that inflames the small joints of the hands and feet.
Its tool uses the MMP-3 biomarker to show the disease's presence, activity, and how well a given therapy is working, all backed by data-analysis software.
Why now? Current treatments can take months to reveal whether they work, leaving patients in pain and driving up healthcare costs.
The startup wants faster answers. It will use the cash to research, test, and validate biomarkers, then bring them to Hungarian and international markets.
This is Auxiliis's second raise within a year. In December 2025, it secured 32,000,000 HUF from the White Unicorn incubator through the Startup FactoryDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → programme.
What could go wrong? Biomarker validation is slow and must meet strict clinical protocols before it reaches doctors.
International expansion also means navigating different regulatory systems, where approval timelines can stretch for years.
The signal: Auxiliis sits at the early stage, and its focus on biomarker identification, validation, and commercialisation reflects a wider push towards precision diagnostics that guide treatment rather than replace it. Backing from a mix of investors — from investment fund White Unicorn VenturesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → in December to this seed round — points to a maturing appetite for Hungarian healthtech targeting the slow, costly problem of chronic-disease management.
