Kim.cc raises round from Stellaris to scale AI customer support, eyes $100M revenue

What's the deal? Kim.ccDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, an AI-native customer support provider for over 200 e-commerce brands, has raised a venture round led by Stellaris Venture PartnersDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →.

The company will use the funding to expand in the US and grow its operations in India. It is targeting more than $100M in annual revenue by 2028.

Kim.cc pairs AI agents with human oversight, handling 2 million customer inquiries each week. Its clients include Shopify merchants such as TRIP Drinks, Kahawa 1893, Transformer Table, and Nimi.

Why now? Chief executive officer and co-founder Sachin Jaiswal argues that pure automation has fallen short in real-world support.

"Companies still require human judgment and quality control when dealing with intricate or sensitive issues," he said.

The company's recent sentiment report found nearly 50% of consumers prefer a mix of AI and human support.

What could go wrong? Kim.cc plans to triple its workforce to more than 100 employees by 2028, hiring across sales, partnerships, and customer success.

Scaling headcount and operations across two continents while hitting aggressive revenue targets is no small task. Its model also leans on human oversight, which could limit the cost advantages of pure automation.

The signal: Stellaris Venture Partners, an India-focused investment fund, is backing a company straddling two markets — building out its US presence while deepening operations in India. Now at breakout stage, Kim.cc is wagering that a human-in-the-loop model can carve out a defensible niche in a $470B customer support market increasingly crowded with full-automation players.
