BliskoMed organises professional home doctor visits, flipping the traditional model so the doctor comes to the patient — not the other way around.

Crucially, it is registered as a healthcare provider, not just a marketplace. That means it takes full legal and medical responsibility for continuity of care and quality.

Why now? Poland is ageing fast. One in five citizens is already over 65, and forecasts suggest seniors will make up nearly a third of the population within decades.

Demand comes from a broad group: parents of small children and carers of seniors or the chronically ill all need a doctor at home.

The Karwatka brothers say they invested after analysing the everyday problems patients face. Booking basic home medical care remains difficult, even as most daily services move to a few taps in an app.

The signal: For an early-stage medtech like BliskoMed, the angel backing of two seasoned operators signals a bet on execution as much as on the idea. As Poland's demographics tilt towards an ageing population, software-enabled at-home care is shaping up as a market where regulated providers — not just marketplaces — could win.
