Angel investors with the Northern Innovation Network made the call live at the Summit Finale on June 26 at the Prince George Conference and Civic Centre.

Based in Prince George, founder Bruce Johnston built Stackd as software that helps small to mid-size engineering and architecture firms streamline projects, cut admin work, and stay compliant.

Why now? Stackd was a finalist at last year's summit. It used that experience to refine its business and sharpen its pitch before returning to win.

This year's summit started in March with 30 companies in training. Investors picked the top 24 for the pitch competition, then narrowed the field through quarter-finals and semi-finals to a final six.

Those six pitched one last time before the angels' due diligence teams shared their findings and chose a winner.
