Amble unveils the Amble One, a $25,000 open-air electric vehicle
AmbleDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a Lisbon-based light electric mobility startup, unveiled its debut vehicle, the Amble One, on 25 June 2026 — a street-legal, open-air electric vehicle priced from $25,000 ($20,000 in Europe).
Built for short local trips, the Amble One is a modular electric buggy with no doors and minimal screens, with styling inspired by the 1960s lunar rover. The 450kg, 48V rear-wheel-drive vehicle tops out at 65km/h (40mph) with over 100km (60+ miles) of range from a 12kWh battery, and recharges from a standard wall socket in around 5.5 hours. Rear seats fold flat for cargo, and a tool-free accessory system lets owners bolt on baskets, boxes, mirrors and straps.
The founding team draws on alumni from Apple, Audi, Ford, Renault and Cowboy. Co-founder and CEO Adrien Roose previously founded the electric-bike brand Cowboy; designer Julian Hoenig worked on the Apple Watch and Vision Pro; François Xavier Delage engineered Renault's Twizy; and Michael Tropper came out of Ford's advanced design studio. Backers include SolarCity co-founder Peter Rive, Siam Motors co-owner Pete Phornprapha and former Airbnb VP Joe Zadeh.
Amble is targeting luxury resorts and private owners. More than 500 vehicles have been committed by resorts including Amangiri in Utah and the island of Mustique, with hospitality deliveries starting in 2027 and consumer deliveries from 2028. Reservations are open now.
