Founded by Ajit Kumar and Praveen Y., the startup builds AI mentors that aim to replicate the methods of top educators. The funds will strengthen its AI capabilities and expand its platform for students preparing for NEET, India's national medical entrance exam.
Why now? Lytmus AI has drawn more than 17,000 NEET aspirants in just 45 days, with students logging 50,000 hours of interaction with its AI mentors.
It now plans to reach 100,000 students by the end of the academic cycle. A subscription model arrives in 2026, priced at ₹499 per month or ₹4,500 per year.
The platform offers doubt-solving, personalised study plans, and guidance on both academic and non-academic challenges.
What could go wrong? Converting free users into paying subscribers is the next test. With 17,000 signups but no revenue yet, the company must prove its model holds once the paywall goes up.
