The UK company builds a governed supplier data backbone that large enterprises use alongside existing systems to power procurement, compliance, and risk management.
HICX will spend the capital on its platform, customer roadmap, and commercial expansion. It also plans selective acquisitions.
Why now? Enterprises increasingly treat trusted supplier data as a boardroom priority as AI automation and regulation raise the stakes.
"At a time when AI automation and regulation are both raising the stakes, this is a strong vote of confidence in our position as the governed supplier data foundation that large enterprises rely on," said chief executive officer Dafydd Llewellyn.
What could go wrong? Selective acquisitions add integration risk, and the supplier data market is crowded with established enterprise software vendors.
HICX must also prove its platform's value as customers shift more procurement, finance, and risk decisions onto AI that depends on clean data.
The signal: Now at breakout stage, HICX is leaning on a familiar backer — Wavecrest Growth Partners doubling down signals conviction in a supplier experience management platform that already operates across more than 120 countries. With HSBC Innovation Banking layering in refinancing alongside growth equity, the package positions HICX to pursue acquisitions as enterprises increasingly treat governed supplier data as essential infrastructure for AI-driven procurement and risk decisions.
