The company sells a manufacturing intelligence platform that helps factories spot inefficiencies and boost productivity. AI-powered cameras above production lines process video on-site, turning it into data like cycle times, output rates, and equipment use — no IT integration needed.

Why now? Manufacturers face labour shortages, rising costs, and tougher competition.

Yet many factories still rely on manual observation and fragmented systems, making it hard to find where productivity slips.

"Many manufacturers know they are losing production capacity but lack the visibility to understand where inefficiencies occur," said co-founder and chief executive officer Maximilian Fischer. He said the platform surfaces optimisation opportunities within weeks.

What could go wrong? Cameras watching the shopfloor raise obvious worker privacy concerns.

Almetra says footage is anonymised, most data stays on-site, and only short, randomised snippets are kept for root-cause analysis.
