ForteBank will use the funds to finance projects in the real sector of Kazakhstan's economy.
Why now? The deal extends a run of capital markets activity for the bank.
It follows ForteBank's inaugural $400 million five-year Eurobond in February 2025 and its debut $400 million AT1 perpetual bond in October 2025.
The signal: The syndicate spans Gulf and German corporate lenders — including Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, First Abu Dhabi Bank, Commerzbank, and Deutsche Bank — underlining the international appetite for Kazakhstan's banking sector. Coming on the back of ForteBank's 2025 Eurobond and AT1 perpetual issuances, the doubled and longer-dated facility signals that one of Kazakhstan's leading banks is steadily widening its footprint in global capital markets.
